This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Beemi's services, including the mobile application, Studio Dashboard, and all related features. This AUP is incorporated into and part of our Terms of Service.
1. Scope and Application
This policy applies to all users of Beemi services:
- Players: Users who play games through the mobile app
- Creators: Users who create and publish games through the Studio Dashboard
- All Users: Anyone accessing any part of the Beemi platform
By using Beemi, you agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination.
2. Prohibited Content in Games
2.1 Violence and Dangerous Activities
Strictly Prohibited:
- Graphic violence, gore, or disturbing imagery
- Realistic depictions of physical harm or injury
- Content promoting self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
- Instructions for dangerous activities or challenges
- Glorification of violence or violent extremism
- Content depicting animal cruelty or abuse
2.2 Hate Speech and Discrimination
Strictly Prohibited:
- Content that promotes hate or discrimination based on:
- Race, ethnicity, national origin
- Religion or religious affiliation
- Gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation
- Disability or medical condition
- Age
- Slurs, epithets, or derogatory language targeting protected groups
- Denial of historical atrocities or genocide
- Content promoting hate groups or extremist ideologies
2.3 Sexual Content
Strictly Prohibited:
- Pornographic or sexually explicit content
- Nudity or sexual acts
- Sexualized depictions of minors (zero tolerance)
- Content promoting sexual services
- Non-consensual intimate imagery
Acceptable: Artistic nudity in educational or cultural context, clearly labeled and age-gated.
2.4 Illegal Activities
Strictly Prohibited:
- Content promoting illegal drug use or sales
- Instructions for illegal activities (hacking, theft, fraud)
- Sale or promotion of weapons, explosives, or dangerous substances
- Gambling or betting involving real money
- Content facilitating human trafficking or exploitation
- Copyright infringement or piracy
- Money laundering or financial fraud
2.5 Misinformation and Harm
Prohibited:
- Medical misinformation that could cause physical harm
- Content intended to interfere with democratic processes (voting, elections)
- Conspiracy theories promoting violence
- Manipulated media (deepfakes) used to deceive
- Phishing, scams, or fraudulent schemes
2.6 Privacy Violations
Prohibited:
- Sharing others' personal information without consent (doxxing)
- Posting private conversations or images without permission
- Impersonating others or creating fake accounts
- Stalking, harassment, or bullying
2.7 Spam and Malicious Code
Prohibited:
- Viruses, malware, trojan horses, or other malicious code
- Code designed to exploit or damage user devices
- Unauthorized data collection or tracking
- Cryptocurrency miners without explicit user consent
- Spam, excessive advertising, or clickbait
- Deceptive practices to mislead users
3. Multiplayer Conduct
3.1 Respectful Interaction
When participating in multiplayer games, you must:
- Treat other players with respect and courtesy
- Use appropriate language and avoid profanity in public spaces
- Respect others' boundaries and personal space
- Follow the game creator's rules and guidelines
3.2 Prohibited Multiplayer Behavior
Prohibited:
- Harassment, bullying, or targeted abuse
- Threats of violence or harm
- Sexual harassment or unwanted advances
- Spamming, flooding, or disrupting gameplay
- Using offensive usernames or avatars
- Griefing (intentionally ruining others' experience)
- Cheating, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorized modifications
- Team killing or sabotaging teammates
- Hate speech or discriminatory language
3.3 Room Host Responsibilities
If you create a multiplayer room:
- Set clear expectations for behavior
- Use in-game tools to remove disruptive players
- Report serious violations to Beemi support
- Do not abuse host privileges to harass others
4. Studio Creator Responsibilities
4.1 Content Quality Standards
Creators must ensure their games:
- Are tested and functional before publishing
- Do not contain game-breaking bugs or exploits
- Have accurate descriptions and appropriate content warnings
- Are categorized correctly
- Meet minimum quality standards (not spam or low-effort)
4.2 Intellectual Property Compliance
Creators must:
- Only use assets they own or have permission to use
- Respect copyright, trademarks, and patents
- Not copy or clone existing games without authorization
- Provide proper attribution for third-party assets
- Respond to valid DMCA takedown notices
4.3 Asset Licensing
When using third-party assets:
- Verify you have the appropriate license
- Comply with license terms (attribution, usage restrictions)
- Do not use assets from other Beemi games without permission
- Keep records of licenses and permissions
4.4 Prohibited Creator Practices
Prohibited:
- Submitting games you did not create (plagiarism)
- Manipulating analytics or engagement metrics
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Uploading games solely for testing (use preview/draft mode)
- Publishing non-functional or intentionally broken games
- Spamming the catalog with duplicate or low-quality games
- Using misleading titles, descriptions, or thumbnails
- Embedding external tracking or advertising without disclosure
4.5 AI-Generated Content
When using AI assistance:
- Review and test all AI-generated code before publishing
- Ensure AI output doesn't infringe third-party rights
- Take responsibility for all content in your published games
- Disclose if games are substantially AI-generated (recommended)
5. System Integrity and Security
5.1 Prohibited Technical Activities
Strictly Prohibited:
- Attempting unauthorized access to Beemi systems or user accounts
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the platform
- Interfering with or disrupting servers or networks
- Bypassing security measures or access controls
- Using automated tools (bots, scrapers) without permission
- Overloading servers (DoS/DDoS attacks)
- Exploiting vulnerabilities for malicious purposes
- Attempting to access other users' data
5.2 Responsible Disclosure
If you discover a security vulnerability:
- Report it immediately to security@qenetech.com
- Do not exploit the vulnerability
- Do not share the vulnerability publicly until we've addressed it
- Allow reasonable time for us to fix the issue
- We appreciate and may reward responsible disclosure
6. Account Integrity
6.1 Account Authenticity
You must:
- Use your real identity or a consistent pseudonym
- Not create fake or impersonation accounts
- Not share your account credentials with others
- Not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions
- Not buy, sell, or transfer accounts
6.2 Age Verification
You must:
- Be at least 13 years old to use Beemi
- Provide accurate age information
- Not create accounts for children under 13
- Parents: Monitor your teens' usage and report violations
7. Commercial Use and Monetization
7.1 Current Policy
Currently, Beemi does not support direct monetization of user-created games. You may not:
- Charge players to access your games outside the Beemi platform
- Include external payment systems or donation links in games
- Advertise products or services within games without authorization
- Use Beemi to promote external platforms or services
Future Monetization: We may introduce revenue-sharing programs. Details will be announced when available.
8. Reporting Violations
8.1 How to Report
If you encounter content or behavior that violates this policy:
- In-Game: Use the report button or menu option
- Email: support@beemi.app with details and evidence
- Studio Dashboard: Use the report feature on game pages
- Urgent/Serious: For immediate threats, contact legal@qenetech.com
8.2 What to Include
- Link to the content or game
- Description of the violation
- Screenshots or evidence (if applicable)
- Date and time of the incident
- Your contact information (kept confidential)
8.3 Report Handling
We will:
- Review all reports promptly (typically within 48 hours)
- Keep your report confidential
- Take appropriate action based on our findings
- May follow up with you for additional information
- Not provide detailed outcomes due to privacy
9. Enforcement and Consequences
9.1 Enforcement Actions
Violations may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor violations
- Content Removal: Specific games or content deleted
- Temporary Suspension: Account access restricted for a period
- Permanent Ban: Account terminated for serious or repeated violations
- Legal Action: For illegal activities or serious harm
9.2 Factors Considered
When determining consequences, we consider:
- Severity of the violation
- Intent (accidental vs. deliberate)
- Harm caused to users or the platform
- Previous violations or warnings
- User's cooperation in resolution
9.3 Zero Tolerance Violations
The following result in immediate permanent ban:
- Child exploitation or endangerment
- Terrorist content or violent extremism
- Human trafficking or exploitation
- Malicious hacking or major security breaches
- Organized harassment campaigns
10. Appeals Process
10.1 How to Appeal
If you believe enforcement action was taken in error:
- Email appeals@beemi.app within 30 days
- Include your account details and case reference (if provided)
- Explain why you believe the action was incorrect
- Provide any relevant evidence
10.2 Appeal Review
We will:
- Review appeals within 7 business days
- Consider new information and context
- Provide a decision via email
- Reinstate accounts if the appeal is successful
Note: Zero tolerance violations are generally not eligible for appeal.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy to address new challenges, legal requirements, or community needs. Changes will be:
- Published with an updated "Last Updated" date
- Announced via email and in-app notifications
- Effective immediately for new violations
Continued use of Beemi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
